Up-close Dangers is an event consisting of 20 stages and contains mostly melee enemies. There are angel rooms at stage 5, 9, 15 and 19 and boss rooms at stage 10 and 20.
It is highly recommended to use a weapon with a fast attack animation and to focus on abilities that directly or indirectly increases your damage and helps you deal with groups of enemies instead of making yourself more survivable, as you'll quickly get overwhelmed if you can't kill the monsters fast enough. Invincibility Star might be one exception, as it could help you survive any damage you may suffer shortly after entering a room if you time it well (especially when combined with Invisible Bracelet). This advice most likely primarily applies at higher levels (~70), where this event seems to be much more difficult compared to every other event (although it does provide a large amount of experience and coins, even when you don't finish it).
It's fairly straight-forward to avoid taking damage from the bosses (with the exception of Queen Bee, if you can't deal with the summons), although some of them deal very high damage if they do hit you and can take more than half your max HP in 1 hit (of course this depends on your HP and chapter progress).
